Developing a Community-Based Participatory Model for Health Promotion of Vulnerable Groups: A Case Study of Taleeyair Sub-district Yaring District Pattani Province

This research consists purpose were 1. to study the household health situation and 2. to develop a community-based participatory model for health promotion of vulnerable groups in Taleeyair Sub-district Yaring District Pattani Province. This research is qualitative research There are research tools which were in-depth interviews and focus group discussion guidelines. Key informants included children, youth, the elderly and relevant stakeholders, totaling 47 participants. The information gathered from in-depth interviews and focus group discussions forms and related documents content analysis. The findings revealed that 1) Health care for vulnerable groups in the area lacked a formal system. Key activities relied on schools to promote nutrition and traditional games for children and youth, while the elderly engaged in muscle exercises, Tai Chi and spiritual practices such as Tasbih and 2) The developed model consists of a five-step operational process community assessment, problem prioritization, planning, implementation and evaluation, emphasizing community participation throughout. It is accompanied by a framework of six health-promoting behaviors health responsibility, nutrition, physical activity, stress management, interpersonal relationships and spiritual development. This model can be adapted as a guideline for similar contexts in other areas. Expanding target groups and implementing long-term monitoring and evaluation are recommended to ensure sustainability.
