Strategic Leadership of Local Government Leaders Case Study of Mr.Thongchai Maitripan Mayor of Patiu Sub-district Municipality Patiu District Yasothon Province

Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to study the strategic leadership of local administrative leaders, with a case study of Mr. Thongchai Maitriphan, Mayor of Patiu Subdistrict Municipality, Patiu District, Yasothon Province 2. to analyze the problems and obstacles related to the strategic leadership of local administrative leaders, using the same case study of Mr. Thongchai Maitriphan, Mayor of Patiu Subdistrict Municipality, Patiu District, Yasothon Province and 3. to propose recommendations for addressing the problems and obstacles concerning the strategic leadership of local administrative leaders, based on the case study of Mr. Thongchai Maitriphan, Mayor of Patiu Subdistrict Municipality, Patiu District, Yasothon Province. This study employed a qualitative research approach. The research instrument was an interview form. The target group consisted of 18 participants selected through purposive sampling. Data collected from documents and interviews were analyzed using content analysis. The research findings revealed that 1) Strategic leadership of the local administrative leader: The leader demonstrated the ability to perform duties effectively by applying strategic approaches to solve various problems, and exhibited moral integrity and ethical conduct 2) Problems and obstacles related to the leader’s strategic leadership The study found that the leader was unable to allocate resources appropriately, resulting in the failure to achieve the intended operational goals and 3) Guidelines for addressing the problems and obstacles in strategic leadership: The findings indicated that the leader should enhance personal characteristics and improve clarity in communication.
