This research consists purposes were 1. to examine the problems and needs related to the preparation of financial accounting among the Ban Khuan Thia Handicraft Enterprise Group 2. to design and develop a financial accounting system for local wisdom products and 3. to evaluate the effectiveness of the developed financial accounting system. The study employed a qualitative methodology using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The research instruments included interviews, participant observation and a system trial. The target group comprised 24 members of the Baan Khuan Thia Community Enterprise Group. Data collected from documents, interview forms, group discussion records, and observation notes were analyzed using content analysis. The findings revealed that 1) the target group faced difficulties in accounting due to the absence of standardized forms, insufficient accounting knowledge, and a lack of cost analysis per product 2) the developed accounting system included accounting-related documents such as requisition forms, payment and receipt vouchers, receipts, purchasing and sales records, and cash receipts and payments journals, all of which were consistent with the group’s operational context and could be practically applied and 3) the developed system enhanced the group’s accuracy in data recording, facilitated decision-making using accounting information, and improved cost management. As a result, the group's financial management capability was significantly strengthened. This research provides valuable insights for developing community-based financial accounting systems that align with local contexts and promote sustainable enterprise management.
