The Development of a Training Curriculum Model Integrating Coaching and Flipped Classroom Concepts to Enhance Competency of Teachers Advising Moral Projects in Educational Service Area Office

Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to study the fundamental information and components of a training curriculum model based on the coaching approach combined with the flipped classroom approach to enhance the competencies of moral project advisor teachers; and 2. to develop a training curriculum based on the coaching approach combined with the flipped classroom approach to enhance the competencies of moral project advisor teachers. This research is quantitative in nature. The research instruments include: a curriculum component suitability assessment form, a training curriculum suitability assessment form, and a training curriculum manual suitability assessment form. The sample group consists of 40 moral project advisor teachers selected through multi-stage sampling. The data obtained from the research instruments were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean, standard deviation and the index of item-objective congruence (IOC). The research findings revealed that 1) The training course consisted of six components, namely, principles, objectives, content, training processes, training media, and evaluation and assessment. The results of the evaluation of the appropriateness of the training curriculum components, in overall, were at the highest level (x̅= 4.93, S.D. = 0.25), with a consistency index ranging from 0.80 to 1.00 and 2) The overall appropriateness of the training curriculum was also rated at the highest level (x̅= 4.93, S.D. = 0.15), with a consistency index of 1.00.
