Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to study the dance styles in the Isaan master dance style and 2. to study the meaning in the Isan master dance style. is qualitative research. has research tools including observation and interview forms. The target group is a group of 3 knowledgeable people, a group of 5 people who practice, and a group of 20 general information providers that come from a specific selection method. Then the data collected from observation and interviews were analyzed using descriptive and content analysis. The results of the research found that 1) Dancers in the Isan dance style There are specific movement characteristics, a specific performance set that is evident in every part of the body, from the head, hands, arms, shoulders, torso, and feet, which are components of the dancing style that reflects the beauty of Isaan dancing. There is also a rhythm in the dancing that is a unique characteristic of the performance and 2) Tha Maebot Isaan, it can be seen that The name of the dance has different meanings as it has been seen as an imitation of gestures such as characters in local literature. Human behavior in various forms, animal behavior or even the nature around us that creates an aesthetic image and it can be taken as the name of the dance that comes from the intellectual wisdom of Master Mor Lam, who is an artist in the local performing arts.
