Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to study the culture of Seng Klong King and its valuation of the people of the Rong-Kham district and 2. To study the succession process of Seng Klong King of Rong Kham district people, Kalasin province. is a qualitative research. There is a research tool, namely, an interview form, with a target group of 9 people drawn from specific random sampling consisting of 3 groups of stakeholders. The information gathered from interview forms and related documents were then content analysis. The results showed that 1) Seng Klong King's culture and valuing of the people of Rong Kham District, Kalasin province, is a hit to compete for loudness. There are two forms of playing: narrow-faced drums and broad-faced drums. The Narrow face will look like a small front drum, compact drum body size. It is a drum used to compete for drums with high sound and clear sound. The wide front drum. The appearance of the drum face is wider than the narrow-faced drum. The body size of the drum is large. It is a low-pitched drum. The competition will focus on the loudness of the drums of the competitors in valuation and judgment, for the judge will use 3-5 people to decide both forms of drum kings. It uses ears to listen to the sound of the drums of each group. The sound meter was not used to make any judgments 2) to study the succession process of Seng-Klong King drums of the Rong Kham district people, Kalasin province. It has been inherited for a long time from generation to generation by Phra-Khru Sunthorn Pariyat until he arrived at Phra-Achan Udon Akkadhammo and received support from government agencies. As a result, the Seng-Klong King culture is a cultural tradition that has remained with the people of Rong Kham and Kalasin province continuously because the Seng drums are considered to help strengthen the unity of the people in the community, build relationships and understand each other well.
