Management Strategies for Dual Vocational Training System for State Vocational School in Lao PDR.

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1. examine the current and desired conditions of performance of dual vocational training system for state vocational school in Lao PDR. and 2. establish the management strategies for the dual vocational training system for state vocational school in Lao PDR. It is quantitative research with a sample group of 639 people consisting of (1) 324 teachers and administrators of vocational schools (2) 315 trainers and enterprise administrators from the Krejcie table. and Morgan (1970) then take the data collected from the questionnaire and analyze it using descriptive statistics including percentage, mean, standard deviation. The results of the research show that 1) the current and the desirable condition of Management strategies for dual vocational training system for state vocational school in Lao PDR as an overall was at a high level (x̅= 4.18) In order of needs and necessities from least to greatest, they are 1.1) teaching and learning (x̅= 4.22) 1.2) cooperation between vocational schools and enterprises (x̅= 4.21) 1.3) assessment and evaluation (x̅= 4.18) 1.4) personal (x̅=4.15) และ 1.5) curriculum and teaching media  (x̅= 4.13) and 2) Management strategies for dual vocational training system for state vocational school in Lao PDR  has 5 main strategies, 38 minor strategies, 190 action methods  2.1) learning component comprising 5 sub-strategies 25 how it works 2.2) cooperation between vocational schools and enterprises component comprising 10 sub-strategies 50 How it works 2.3) assessment and evaluation component comprising 9 sub-strategies 45 How it works 2.4) personal component comprising 5 sub-strategies 25 How it works and 2.5) curriculum and teaching media component comprising 9 sub-strategies 45 How it works.
