Political Leaders and the Promotion of Local Democracy in Accordance with Decentralized Principles.

Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to study the opinions of the people towards the role of political leaders in to strengthen local democracy according to decentralization principles 2. to study ways to promote the role of political leaders and to strengthen local democracy according to decentralization principles and 3. to study the application of the Sappuridharma principle to strengthen political leaders. is a research that combines quantitative and qualitative research. There are research tools such as questionnaires and interview forms. A total of 400 people were sampled from the sample size calculation using Taro Yamane's formula (1973) at an error of 0.05, and randomized samples were performed at convenience. and a target group of 30 people who came from a specific selection The data collected from the questionnaire were analyzed using descriptive statistics consisting of percentage, mean, standard deviation. and information obtained from the interview and various related documents for content analysis. The results showed that 1) The level of people's opinion towards the role of political leaders and the promotion of local democracy according to the principle of decentralization. Overall, it was at a high level (x̅ = 3.74). When considering each aspect, it was found that it was at a high level in all aspects, namely 1.1) local political participation (x̅ = 4.11) 1.2) participation in local politics.
