Abstract

The academic article Playing the Role of Rojjana in the drama Sangthong Case Study: Associate Professor Dr. Supachai Chansuwan to study a way to play the role of Rojjana acted by a male performer in non-royal dramas, focusing on the importance of the concepts and methods used to play her role of Associate Professor Dr.Supachai Chansuwan. Data were collected from analyzing related documents and research papers and interviewing sample groups. The samples included thai dance specialist 5 personnel. The study results indicated that Associate Professor Dr.Supachai Chansuwan initially practiced the dance of her plays, starting with slow-fast dances, small masters, and big masters, learning her adjectives, as well as performing interpretations. He then studied the literature of Sangthong from the king's chapter to know the history of the character. The character is deeply manipulated, the structure of the dance process is adapted to suit the Rojjana character. It consists of using the head and face to look elegant, torso and shoulders upright for character elegance, arms and hands using techniques to adjust the positioning of the dance positioning to suit the actress' physique, using the feet to perform her dance moves, not moving too fast. The use of emotions and facial expressions changes according to the script during each performance period, including love emotions, sad emotions, sarcastic emotions, and anger.
