Abstract

This article of this study aim to analyze the legal problems and provide guidelines for solving those legal problems on managing properties of Buddhist monks during the Buddhist monkhood until they pass away Though it has been prescribed by section 1623 of the Civil and Commercial Code that any property acquired by a Buddhist monk during his monkhood shall become property of the monastery which is his domicile upon his death, there were still a lot of disputes between the monastery and all of his statutory heirs. Due to the fact that some of the above monastery did not realize this legal right so that caused the monastery often lose the benefits that should be obtained by law. From the study, the State must supply the Iegal knowledge, espescially inheritance law, to monasteries and Buddhist Monks.
