Effective of Using Computer Multimedia to Enhance Reading Ability in Basic Thai Word for Grade 1 Students Using Thai as a Second Language in the Southern Border Provinces.

This research consists purposes were 1. to develop a computer multimedia to enhance reading ability in basic thai word for grade 1 students using Thai as a second language in the Southern Border Provinces 2. to examine the effective the of using computer multimedia and 3. to explore the students’ satisfaction of by using a computer multimedia. is quantitative research. The samples included 53 students of grade 1 They were divided into an experimental group of 31 students and a controlled group of 22 students. The instruments covered (1) computer multimedia to enhance reading ability in basic thai word for Grade 1 Students Using Thai as a Second Language in the Southern Border Provinces (2)computer multimedia learning lesson plan
(3) traditional learning lesson plan (4) the reading ability achievement test in basic thai word for grade 1 and
(5) satisfaction questionnaire towards the computer multimedia usage. Mean, standard deviation and t-test were employed in data analysis. The research findings were as follows. 1) The quality and effectiveness of the computer multimedia was at a high level (x̅= 4.83) with efficiency =82.32/81.58. 2) The reading ability achievement test score of the experimental group was higher than that of the controlled group at a significant level of .01. and 3) The students’ satisfaction towards the multimedia was at the highest level.
