Musical Innovations: Development of Pickup for Electric Kim.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were 1. The develop pickup for electric Kim, and 2. study the satisfaction of the Kim players through the pickup for electric Kim. Additionally, this research is a combination of a quantitative research. The research tool was a satisfaction questionnaire. Connect the audio receiver for the electric dulcimer. There was a sample group, namely dulcimer musicians in Ubon Ratchathani Province, amounting to 50 people who came from calculating the sample size using Taro Yamane's formula. The data collected from the questionnaire were analyzed using descriptive statistics consisting of percentage, value Average Standard Deviation. The results showed that 1) the pickup for electric Kim there are important steps as follows prepare material, draft, cut and drill bobbin put in magnets, wrapped coil, connect coil, check signal strength, wrapped with yarn, paraffin wax and check signal and 2) the Kim players’ satisfaction toward the pickup for electric Kim was at the highest level (x̅= 4.89).
