Abstract

This academic article has stud to the management of Tak Special Economic Development Zone, to study and analyze problems and obstacles which affect the management of Tak Special Economic Development Zone, and to suggest guidelines to develop the management model of Tak Special Economic Development Zone. The purposes of this research emphasize on analysis of concepts, patterns, policies and relevant laws, in order to give developmental guidelines for the management of Tak Special Economic Development Zone. According to the management of Tak Special Economic Development Zone, there are problems with the following issues. The first issue is policy management on land possession of Tak Special Economic Development Zone for the advantage of special economic zone and the growth of economic. The advantage of land possession impacts the right of villagers who hold the land. They lose their land unfaithfully, and there is exception to the land law, in order to facilitate the investment of special economic zone, and lack of compensation for their loss of earning from the impacts and economic chance. The second issue is the management of Tak Special Economic Development Zone. The management is lack of stability and contains limitation and different conditions. The result of these problems occurred from different conditions that are obstacles for the development of special economic zone and local areas, and cross-border trade investment. The third issue is an economic inequality in the special economic zone of Tak and local communities. The number of foreign workers increase continuously, especially the number of unregistered foreign workers. The problems affect expenses for administration, and urbanization is expanded. Utilization of natural resources, environment and sanitation are insufficient which impacts sanitation and environmental health respectively.
