Effectiveness of emergency medical services by local administrative organizations

Abstract

The purposes of this study were 1.the characteristic of community context, input, process factors and EMS  effectiveness performance of local administrative organization in Udon Thani 2.Factors influencing EMS effectiveness performance of local administrative organization in Udon Thani and 3. find the improvement of EMS effectiveness performance of local administrative organization in Udon Thani.Qualitative research were employed and tools were questionnaires. Sample were the people whom engaged EMS and used G*Power for sample size. Random sampling focused on the specific EMS group and regression analysis were used for statistics analysis. The findings are; 1) In overview, the factors in term of community context, input and process related positively at meduim to EMS effectiveness performance in local administrative organization, Udonthani. 2) Factors influencing EMS effectiveness performance are community readiness, EMS preparation, EMS operation, budgets, materials and staffs. These factors describe the deviation EMS effectiveness performance in local administrative organization at 60.8 %(R Square = 0.608) 3) The approaches for EMS improvement are; EMS policy and planning should be focused on the Provincial Administrative Organization as the service center including the appropriate task, real decentralization, law enforcement and efficient network management.
