Abstract

This Research Article has the objectives:  to study the conditions to compare and to propose the guideline for development of activities to promote learning of the 5 precepts according to the principal of elementary school, Lan Sak district, Uthai Thani province.  Step 1 is quantitative research. The sample group used in the research was 113 teachers in primary schools in Lan Sak District, Uthai Thani Province.   The research tool is a 5-level estimation questionnaire with a confidence value of 0.94. Statistical values used to analyze data include mean, standard deviation, and t-test. Step 2 is qualitative research. The research instrument was a semi-structured interview. Data were collected from 7 key informants. Data were analyzed using content analysis.The research findings were as follows: 1. The condition of development of activities to promote learning of the 5 precepts of primary schools, Lan Sak District, Uthai Thani Province overall is at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the aspect of developing activities to promote learning of the 5 precepts from educational institutions (schools) had the highest average level, followed by the aspect of developing activities to promote learning of the 5 precepts from family institutions and the aspect. The development of activities to promote learning of the 5 precepts from religious institutions (temples) has the lowest average. 2. Comparison of opinions on the state of development of activities to promote learning of the 5 precepts of primary schools, Lan Sak District, Uthai Thani Province according to personal factors including gender, position, age, qualifications and work experience. It was found that there were opinions no different. and 3. Guidelines for developing activities to promote learning of the 5 precepts according to the principles of Buddhism in primary schools, Lan Sak District, Uthai Thani Province. 1) In terms of developing activities to promote learning of the 5 precepts from the family institution (home), administrators should encourage educational institutions to hold meetings to plan activities with the community, plan to create participation, and provide opportunities for representatives of various groups to play a role in joint thinking. 2) 2) In terms of developing activities to promote learning of the 5 precepts from religious institutions, administrators should encourage the organization of home and temple activities, appoint committees together with the school based on expertise, abilities, and encourage students to use the temple is a source of learning. 3) In terms of developing activities to promote learning of the 5 precepts from educational institutions, administrators should regularly promote learning activities of the 5 precepts to students, and arrange for the dissemination of activities of educational institutions to the public and parents
