Abstract

1) Regarding Dhamma practice of Buddhists, Wat Plak Raet had organized the area for Buddhists to practice Dhamma at all time, but  a small amount of people came to practice and only few people gave special importance to Dhamma practice. Most people who entered the temple to practice Dhamma were groups of Buddhists who came to observe the 8 precepts on Buddhist days, or mostly on important Buddhist days or special days.


              2) Regarding problems and obstacles of Dhamma practice of Buddhists in 3 aspects; on account of academic, documents for Dhamma practice such as book for Buddhist chanting, documents giving knowledge of meditation for tranquility and insight developments were very few in number and different in content. On account of personnel, there was no meditation teacher to lead the practice. This might be because Wat Pluck Raet was not yet a reckoned practice center. This resulted in individual practice according to one's own knowledge and competency. On account of place, Wat Plak Raet had on no separate building for specific Dhamma practice. It was neccessary to use the sermon hall for practicing Dhamma as well as for dwelling.


              3) Regarding the guidelines for the development of Dhamma practice of Buddhists in all 3 aspects; on account academic, three should be a variety of Dhamma training and teaching  so that people  could choose to follow according to their needs. On account of personnel, the chief monk or meditation teacher should be knowledgeable and set a good example for others so as to make people see, have faith and follow him. On account of place, the temple or Dhamma practice office must be ready for providing services to the people with suitable, clean, quiet and comfortable conditions.
