Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study the conditions and to find the way to promote morality according to the doctrine of ten virtues of the ruler performed by school administrators in Khok Phra District under Nakornsawan Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The operation consists of 2 steps 1) Study of the moral conditions according to the doctrine of ten virtues of the ruler. The sample group used in this research was 124 teachers. The research instrument used for data collection is questionnaire with .96 of content validity. The statistics used for data analysis includes percentage, arithmetic mean and standard deviation 2) Find ways to strengthen the morals according to the doctrine of ten virtues of the ruler performed by school administrators in Khok Phra District under Nakornsawan Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 by organizing group discussions of 7 experts and collecting the obtained data to synthesize using content analysis techniques


            The research shows that. Moral states according to the doctrine of ten virtues of ruler performed by school administrators in Khok Phra District under Nakornsawan Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 as a whole are in a very good level. When considering in each aspect, it was found that the moral conditions according to the doctrine of ten virtues of ruler were high in every aspect in descending order. The first rank is Perseverance. The second ranks includes Non-deviation from the norm (Not going wrong), Self-sacrifice, Morality, Non-anger, Giving, Endurance or patience, Gentleness, Non-causing harm and Honesty is the lowest rank of the moral states. The ways to strengthen the morals according to the doctrine of ten virtues of the ruler performed by school administrators in Khok Phra District under Nakornsawan Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 are as follows. 1) Giving For example, the school administrators support and encourage subordinates to further study, provide training to subordinates for developing their potential, allocate budgets for self-development of teachers and staff, create a good atmosphere to work together, forgive when subordinates make mistakes, render assistance and give counsel about operations to subordinates willingly, as well as be pleased to listen to problems related to the operations of personnel. 2) Morality For example, the school administrators are honest people, not to take advantage of public property for personal use, realize the value of resources and allocate them for the benefit of the organization, behave as a role model for subordinates, promote and support the exercise project and activities for health promotion to the personnel, organize antidrug campaign in schools and institutions, organize a project to provide knowledge about various drugs in order to enable relevant parties such as teachers, parents and people in the communities are knowledgeable and participate in drug prevention. 3) Self-sacrifice For example, the school administrators are strong-willed and sacrifice for the benefit of the general public by always dedicating their personal time to government work, encourage educational institutions to create projects that instill the generosity to their staff and students, willingly pleased to sacrifice assets, money and necessary things for the organization and the public, act as a leader in the care of personnel or organizations that contribute to society, always provide relief to various victims as well as sacrifice personal benefits for the benefit of the public. 4) Honesty For example, the school administrators behave as good role models by fully devoting their time to the government work, be punctual, comply with professional ethics by performing in a good role model, and develop themselves to be virtuous and healthy both physically and mentally, increasing knowledge and ability in management, as well as manage the school with honesty, not use the authorities and duties to seek benefits from the government and other parties. 5) Gentleness For example, the school administrators are courteous and friendly to colleagues and subordinates to be respected by everyone, have a gentle personality which is a good role model for personnel and students, allow subordinates to express their opinions and to participate in operational decision making, as well as listen to opinions, problems and participate in expressing opinions for solving problems together with colleagues. 6) Perseverance For example, the school administrators develop their own management potential, regularly share knowledge with various organizations, be determine and diligent to perform duties, not give up on obstacles when any problems occurred, as well as find the ways to solve problems and obstacles successfully. 7) Non-anger For example, the school administrators behave as a good model for using consciousness in managing the organization when problems occur or something stimulate anger, be a good friend to colleagues and related parties. 8) Non-causing harm For example, the school administrators do not exercise their authorities or omit to perform duties that cause suffering or frustration to personnel and other people in the community, give praise and congratulations when others are successful in any matter, equally provide assistance to subordinates. 9) Endurance or patience For example, the school administrators have patience with the difficulties in performing their duties, use mindfulness and intelligence to solve problems and behave as a good model for subordinates as well as encourage teachers and students to perform their duties with patience. 10) Non-deviation from the norm (Not going wrong) For example, the school administrators behave the operational guidelines in accordance with legal, culture and tradition, along with encourage and instill in the personnel and students to conduct oneself in accordance with the good culture and tradition.
