Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study 1) The process of driving the Five        Precepts Village project of the Sangha, Nakhon Sawan Province 2)analyzed Buddhist activities according to the five precepts villages project in the fostering of 12 values and 3) developed the Five Precepts Village model in the fostering of 12  values, as qualitative research, collect data from in-depth interviews from key informants who were participants and had a good understanding of the implementation of 25 monk/persons and discuss specific groups of 12 people who have a good understanding of the mentioned village project in Mae Poen district in Nakhon Sawan Province and using an inductive analytic method by checking data for accuracy and completeness. Compiled and classified systematically then interpreted with content analysis.

            The findings revealed that 1) implementation of the activity process as follows: Coordination, village conditions study,training project memberships and announcement of the award to the village preserving the five precepts that were fulfilled respectively 2) People and people who involved with the Five Precepts Village Project that who had good understanding that the developing the Five precepts contributed to the 12  values of the government both directly and indirectly 3) the model that the village should adopt were a guideline consisting of steps ; (1) design of the five precepts village (2)upgrading the mind, planning (3) implementation (4) analyzing, evaluating and (6) continuous improvement. Therefore, suggested at the policy level 1) the government should continuously support the Five precepts villages 2) the National Buddhism Office should cooperate with the administrative department to organize training to educate the people on the goals of upgrading the five precepts village every villages in the Mae Peon district.
