Innovation in Higher Education Management in the Future

Abstract

This article aims to create innovations in higher education management in the future. This research uses Delphi and ethnographic futures research techniques, which are futures research techniques that combine ethnographic futures research and Delphi techniques. Experts who will be interviewed and answered questionnaires to find consensus on innovations in higher education management in the future were selected purposively, consisting of 4 experts in education management, 4 experts in education management innovation, and 9 university administrators, totaling 17 people. The research instruments consisted of interview forms and questionnaires. The statistics used for data analysis were median and interquartile range. The results of the research found that there were 5 innovations in higher education management in the future: 1) innovations in teaching and learning, 2) innovations in research and innovation creation, 3) innovations in human resource development in technology, 4) innovations in academic services and networking, and 5) innovations in arts and culture preservation. The knowledge gained from innovations can be used to manage education in the next era, which will be the application of new concepts or methods of education management in education management to help improve the management system of educational institutions and the education system that is consistent with the national strategic plan. and the Higher Education Plan that determines the direction of the development of Thai higher education in the long term to raise the quality of Thai higher education to be comparable with international standards and respond to the needs of the country.
