The Relationship Between Administrative Skills of Administrators and the Quality of Work Life of Teachers Under the Office of Secondary Educational Services Area, Bangkok District 1

Abstract
This research aimed to study 1) the administrative skills of administrators under the Office of Secondary Educational Services Area, Bangkok District 1, 2) the quality of work life of teachers under the Office of Secondary Educational Services Area, Bangkok District 1, and 3) the relationship between the administrative skills of administrators and the quality of work life of teachers under the Office of Secondary Educational Services Area, Bangkok District 1. Data were collected using a questionnaire from teachers in 67 schools under the Office of Secondary Education Area, Bangkok District 1. From a total of 4788 teachers, a sample of 369 was obtained using Taro Yamane's formula (Taro Yamane, 1973, p.725. The questionnaire's overall reliability was 0.997. Data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient.
The research findings were as follows:
1) The overall level of administrative skills of administrators under the Office of Secondary Educational Services Area, Bangkok District 1, was high. The highest average was in time management skills, followed by decision-making skills, with technical skills having the lowest average.
2) The overall quality of work life of teachers under the Office of Secondary Educational Services Area, Bangkok District 1, was high. The highest average was in the pride in the organization, followed by balance between personal life and work, with fair and sufficient compensation having the lowest average.
3) There was a significant positive relationship at the .01 level between the administrative skills of administrators and the quality of work life of teachers under the Office of Secondary Educational Services Area, Bangkok District 1, with a correlation coefficient of 0.600
