Small-Size Primary School Educational Resources Management Strategies in Post-Covid-19 Era

Abstract

This research article aimed to 1) assess the necessary educational resource management needs of small primary schools in the post-COVID-19 era, 2) develop strategies for managing educational resources in these schools, and 3) present these strategies. The study utilized a mixed-methods approach. The quantitative research included a sample of 375 schools, determined using the Krejcie and Morgan table (1970) and selected through simple random sampling without replacement. Data sources included administrators from small primary schools, and data were collected using questionnaires. Statistical analyses included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and the necessity index. In the qualitative research, nine key informants participated in focus group discussions, and the data were analyzed using inductive content analysis. The research findings indicated that in personnel and budget management, schools were able to assign tasks according to individual expertise and systematically manage information using technology, but faced budget constraints. In terms of equipment and facilities, schools conducted needs assessments and managed information using technology. For resource mobilization and environment management to prevent COVID-19, schools implemented effective measures and emphasized building networks with various agencies for support.
