Aims and scope

Journal of Global Business Review (JGBR) is an international refereed journal, published semiannually by the Graduate School of Commerce, Burapha University. JGBR aims to be a key venue for academics, researchers, professionals, and students to disseminate their research articles that highlight the practical implications in promoting better business decision-making process. Rigorous theoretical, conceptual, and empirical articles dealing with issues in all areas of business and management will be considered for publication. Articles with an international/global perspective are especially welcome.JGBR also provides space for case studies, book reviews, and critical reviews of existing management theories, principles, and practices. Articles are the results of anonymous reviews by at least two referees (double blinded review system) chosen by the editor for their specialist knowledge.

JGBR covers a broad spectrum of business and management disciplines. Although not exhaustive, a suggestive list of areas that would be included in this journal are: general management, strategic management, human resource management, organizational behavior, labor and industrial relations, international business management, business communication, entrepreneurship, leadership, management science, operations management, production management, supply chain management, marketing management, brand management, consumer behavior, information management, e-marketing, e-commerce, quality management, retailing, service marketing, hospitality management, hotel and tourism management, asset pricing, capital and money markets, corporate finance, derivatives markets, finance and banking, financial economics, insurance, portfolio management, risk management, accounting information systems, auditing, corporate governance, financial accounting, financial reporting, international accounting, and management accounting.

Submission of a manuscript implied that the work described has not been published or is being considered for publication by another journal, nor should paper being considered here be submitted to other journals. The manuscript submitted must follow the journal format given at 'author guidelines'.

Publication ethics

Ethical standards are crucial to ensure the high quality of publications, credibility of research findings, and that authors receive credit for their work.

Roles and duties - of the editor

The editor of the journal is responsible for determining the quality of the article for publication in the journal. And rejecting the publication of articles previously published elsewhere.

The editor has the duty to consider publishing the research results with the correct research methodology. Trustworthiness is important, clarity and modernity and the consistency of the content with the policy of the journal is important by considering the results of the research to be consistent with the research objectives to consider that should it be published or published?

The editor is responsible for careful consideration when accepting published articles. The academic reasoning must be used in considering every article without prejudice towards the article and the author of the article.

Editors must not disclose the information of the authors and the assessor of the articles to other people. Unrelated during the period of evaluation' of articles.

Editors must not deal any agreements with the authors or assessors. And not use articles or journals for any personal business benefits.

The editor must extremely examine the plagiarism of the article using a reliable program. Plagiarism means the use of any material and ideas developed or created by another person without acknowledging the original source. To avoid any form of plagiarism, each manuscript newly submitted to the Journal of Global Business Review will be checked regarding plagiarism using Turnitin program.

When editors detect plagiarism of others in the article evaluation process the editor must stop the evaluation process of the said article immediately and contact the author to request explanations for consideration of "accept" or "reject" the publication of that article in which the editor can proceed to withdraw the article without the consent of the author which has been considered the rights and responsibilities of the editorial articles.

Roles and duties of the author:

The author must certify that the submitted work is new and has never been published anywhere else. It is unethical to submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time. Doing this wastes the time of editors and peer reviewers, and can damage the reputation of the authors and the journals if published in more than one journal as the later publication will have to be retracted.

The author must write the article correctly according to the format specified in the Journal of Global Business Review and font size according to the form (template) of the specify of the journal.

Each authors of every name who appears in the article. That must be a person who is involved in conducting the actual research.

The author must not copy the explorations of others. And the author must review the list of reference documents every time when presenting other’s content.

The author verifies the correctness of the reference list in terms of format and content.

The author must not distort the information or provide false information the content of the article must comply with the objective of the journal and articles must not copy the work of others.

The author should not use academic documents that have not been studied to read or put in the reference documents should refer to the documents as necessary.

The authors do not publish or publish with other sources after being published with The Journal of Global Business Review.

Authors whose submitted manuscripts are found to include citations whose primary purpose is to increase the number of citations to a given author’s work, or to articles published in a particular journal, may incur sanctions.

The author must reveal the source of funds that support academic work (if any).

Roles and duties of the reviewers:

The reviews of submitted manuscripts must be done objectively, and the referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments. Furthermore, referees need to be aware that any information regarding the manuscripts they are reviewing should be treated as privileged information.

The reviewers should evaluate the article in their field of expertise by considering the importance of the content in the article to that subject quality of analysis and work concentration. Reviewers do not use personal opinions that do not have information to support as a basis in judging the article.

Reviewers must keep confidential and do not disclose any or all of the information submitted for consideration to unrelated parties during the evaluation period, the articles do not seek to benefit from the academic work that they have assessed.

Reviewers must maintain the evaluation period in accordance with the specified evaluation period.

 

 
 

The publication fee of 5,000 baht (50% discount from 10,000 baht) will be applied on the submitted papers after 1-January-2020.

Important Notes

          The author(s) must ensure that a manuscript submitted to JGBR has not been published or is being considered for publication by another journal, nor should the paper being considered here be submitted to other journals. The manuscript submitted must follow the journal format information given at ‘Author Guidelines’.

 Open Access Policy

 All research articles published in JGBR Open Access journals are fully open access: immediately freely available to read, download and share.

  1. Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  1. Articles should be in Business administration theories and practices: organizational development, human resources management/development, accounting, organizational behavior, marketing, finance, operations management, economics, and management of information systems, etc.
  2. Manuscripts must be typed in Times New Roman 12 point font and submit with Microsoft Word (A file must be able to edit). The margins are set at 1” on all sides.
  1. Manuscripts must be typed with A4 white paper, full length papers 15-20 pages.
  1. Articles must have abstract. The abstract is a succinct, single-paragraph summary of your paper’s purpose, main points, method, findings, and conclusions. The abstract’s length should be a minimum of 250 words and a maximum of 300 words.
  2. Immediately after the abstract, provide a maximum of 8 keywords, avoiding general and plural terms and multiple concepts (avoid, for example, 'and', 'of')
  3. Manuscript has been 'spell checked' and 'grammar checked'.
  1. Permission has been obtained for use of copyrighted material from other sourcesn (including the Internet). 
  1. Acknowledgement: List here those individuals who provided help during the research (e.g., providing language help, writing assistance or proof reading the article, etc.).
  2. References citation in content must be listed in references at the end of the article. 
  1. The reference must be in American Psychological Association style or APA. The example is shown in References Style.

 

 Privacy statement

  1. Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  2. To deterrent plagiarism, JGBR requires authors who submit manuscripts to the journal present results of plagiarism check from Akarawisut program  (https://plag.grad.chula.ac.th) and Turnitin program.  The results have to be attached to manuscripts. They will be sent to reviewers for consideration.
  3. Authors have to submit manuscripts via ThaiJO system (Thai Journals Online system). Authors can see all details in the title of Application and Submission.
