THE EFFECTIVE CHINESE INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGY OF SCHOOLS IN OFFICE OF THE BASIC EDUCATION COMMISSION

Abstract

The objectives of this research were (1) to study the problems and explore the way to solve the problems of effective Chinese language teaching in schools under the office of the basic education commission, (2) to create the strategies of effective Chinese language teaching in schools under the office of the basic education commission, and (3) to evaluate the strategies of effective Chinese language teaching in schools under the office of the basic education commission. The research was distinguished into 3 stages:


            Stage 1: Study the problems and explore the ways to solve the problems of Chinese language teaching in schools under the office of the basic education commission by surveying the comments from 651 people of 217 sampling schools. The data collection tools used in this stage was questionnaire which was analyzed through statistic classification including mean, standard deviation and considering the qualitative information.


            Stage 2: Create the strategies of effective Chinese language teaching in schools under the office of the basic education commission by using in-depth interview with 15 people from a target group. The data analysis tools used in the second stage was semi-structured Interview.


            Stage 3: Evaluate the strategies of effective Chinese language teaching in schools under the office of the basic education commission through public hearing of participants from 30 people of Chinese teachers under the Office of Basic Education Commission from the secondary education service area office 26 and through focus-group discussion of 10 professionals which are school directors and educational principals. The collecting data were analyzed afterward.


            The overall problem of Chinese language teaching was in the high level which was found in every aspect.  the strategies of effective Chinese language teaching in schools under the office of the basic education commission comprised of 6 strategic issues, 13 goals, 39 strategies, 36 indicators and 14 projects or activities. The evaluation of strategies of effective Chinese language teaching in schools under the office of the basic education commission from the participants indicated that the research had an appropriation, possibility, benefits, and the highest average in every aspect. The evaluation of strategies of effective Chinese language teaching in schools under the office of the basic education commission found that it had appropriation at the highest level which could be employed as the strategies for establishing effective Chinese language teaching in school under the office of the basic education commission.
