https://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/suedujournal/article/view/280491

This research article aimed to study the current situations and operational problems in providing services and tourists assistance at the Tourist Assistance Center, Ministry of Tourism and Sports. The study employed a mixed-methods research approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative research. Qualitative data were collected through in-depth interviews with 30 experts from government agencies. Quantitative data were gathered using questionnaires administered to all 246 operational staff of the Tourist Assistance Centers, which were distributed across 78 centers nationwide. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and content analysis. The research found that the Tourist Assistance Centers had significant strengths, including support from government policies that stimulated the economy and tourism, a credible status as a government agency, an effective coordination network with relevant agencies, and highly capable personnel, especially in English language skills and a strong service mind. Additionally, the organizational culture emphasized teamwork. However, limitations were also identified, such as operating hours and locations, insufficient public awareness and public relations, limited budget and resources, bureaucratic work processes that could be slow and reactive, personnel issues related to job insecurity and motivation, and a lack of technology to support operations and government policies that promoted tourism as an urgent agenda, the increasing trend of tourists' technology usage and the potential to elevate the image towards becoming a one-stop service center and fostering collaboration with networks were considered external factors that facilitated development. Meantime, the centers faced challenges from political and global economic uncertainties, high competition in the tourism market, tourists' high expectations for rapid, 24-hour responses, issues of tourist deception, and personnel instability
mananya kaewkappetWannawee Boonkoum Wannawee Boonkoum

https://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/suedujournal/article/view/284038

This article explores the concept and significance of Task Sequence in mathematics teaching, aiming to foster sustainable conceptual understanding. A Task Sequence refers to the systematic and intentional arrangement of mathematical activities designed to guide students from prior knowledge to more complex concepts in a step-by-step manner. Its foundation lies in constructivist theory and it is closely linked to the Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) framework. Effective Task Sequence design is crucial as it promotes deep conceptual understanding, establishes clear learning paths, accommodates diverse student development, stimulates engagement and mathematical thinking, and serves as a vital tool for teacher professional development. The article presents a case study on teaching the area of parallelograms in Grade 5, illustrating the application of Task Sequence across four lessons. Placing importance on the design of a quality Task Sequence is thus essential for elevating the quality of mathematics teaching and learning.
suwarnnee plianramkasem premprayoon

https://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/suedujournal/article/view/282934

The profound relationship between arts and nature has been manifested through the lens of humanity from various knowledge creation embodied living practices over an extended period of time. It serves as the valuable resources of inspiration as a driving force behind many origins of artworks. In the modern world, the skill in sustainable living with nature is one of the essential 21st century life-skills especially for the new generations. Furthermore, the competency in sustainable and harmonious coexistence with nature and science has become the key factor of holistic learning to foster connections between learners and the world around them. Art also plays a crucial role in an educational system offering an opportunity for learners to interpret nature aesthetically and to build up environmental awareness. On top of that, integrative experiential-based learning is considered the primary approach in art education. The ultimate purpose is to enhance artistic appreciation and to facilitate skill development such as critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving, thereby enabling learners to create artworks and innovative designs inspired by concepts of natural surroundings. Therefore, art serves as an effective medium to connect learners and the natural coexistence mindset altogether especially with the recognition of the value of natural resources, both aesthetically and practically. It fosters them to cultivate the sense of responsibility alongside the harmonious and sustainable living in the natural environment.
Saran SuwanSupaluck Suthongsa

https://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/suedujournal/article/view/274926

With the significant increase in demand for Chinese language learning in Thailand, Chinese education has gradually become an important part of foreign language teaching in the country. However, the existing Chinese teaching materials are mostly translated from general textbooks used in China, which tend to cater to the Chinese teaching model and lack consideration of the language acquisition characteristics of Thai learners in a cross-cultural context, resulting in limited practical teaching effects in Thailand. This paper proposes compiling teaching materials based on an analysis of Thai learners’ linguistic, cultural, cognitive, and psychological characteristics. These materials should align with Thailand’s actual conditions and incorporate China-Thailand cultural comparisons to meet the contemporary needs of Thai students. The paper suggests breaking away from the traditional “language-based” concept in the compilation of teaching materials, strengthening the integration of language teaching and cultural teaching, providing teaching content suitable for Thai learners’ cultural background and real-life situations, enhancing learners’ cross-cultural communication skills, and promoting the localization of Chinese education in Thailand.
ZHUANG JIANINGZHANG, Jingying ZHANG, Jingying
