Factors Affecting the Development of Song Yang Sub-district Administrative Organization Sri Mueang Mai District Ubon Ratchathani Province

Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to study the level of factors affecting the development of Song Yang sub-district administrative organization Si Mueang Mai district Ubon Ratchathani province 2. to study the level of development of Song Yang sub-district administrative organization Si Mueang Mai district Ubon Ratchathani province 3. to study the factors affecting the development of Song Yang sub-district administrative organization Si Mueang Mai district Ubon Ratchathani province and 4. to study suggestions on factors affecting the development of Song Yang sub-district administrative organization Si Mueang Mai district Ubon Ratchathani province. This is quantitative research, using questionnaires as research tools. The research samples consisted of 333 people under the household heads or household representatives aged 18 years old and over in the Song Yang sub-district administrative organization, Si Mueang Mai district. The sample size was determined by using the Taro Yamane’s (1973) statistical formula, The data was collected using multistage sampling. The statistical methods used to analyze the data were frequency, percentage, means and standard deviation. The statistics for hypothesis testing were Pearson’s correlation coefficient and multiple linear regression analysis using Stepwise method. The results found that 1) The overall level of factors affecting the development of Song Yang sub-district administrative organization Si Mueang Mai district Ubon Ratchathani province was at a high level (x̅= 4.13, S.D.= 0.23). 2) The overall level of development of Song Yang sub-district administrative organization, Si Mueang Mai district Ubon Ratchathani province was at a high level (x̅= 4.13, S.D.= 0.23). 3) The factors affecting the overall development of Song Yang sub-district administrative organization Si Mueang Mai district Ubon Ratchathani province was at a moderate level, equal to .502. The factors affecting the overall development of Song Yang sub-district administrative organization Si Mueang Mai district Ubon Ratchathani province, in order of their relationship to the equation were political factors (X₅), social contact (X₆), social conflict (X₇) and economic factor (X₄). These factors could explained the dependent variable which was the development of Song Yang sub-district administrative organization Si Mueang Mai district Ubon Ratchathani province achieved 31.20% with an R² value of .312, an adjusted R² value of .304 and F value of 37.20, which was statistically significant at the α .01 level and 4) Suggestions on factors affecting the development of Song Yang sub-district administrative organization Sri Mueang Mai district, Ubon Ratchathani province were A better irrigation system should be implemented to ensure comprehensive water supply for agricultural areas. Low-voltage electricity for agricultural use should be provided. The issue of encroachment on public land such as cemeteries and sacred sites should be addressed. A second water supply system should be constructed within the villages due to insufficient capacity. Prevention of deforestation and environmental destruction is necessary. Farmers should be encouraged to form groups to develop agricultural products.
