The Potential of Leaders in Developing Strong Communities Case Study of Non Sung Village Na Wiang Sub-district Senangkhanikhom District Amnat Charoen Province

This research consists purposes were 1. to study the potential of leaders in developing strong communities 2. to analyze the problems and limitations of leadership potential in developing strong communities and 3. to suggest solutions to address these limitations. This study employed a qualitative research methodology. The research instrument was a semi-structured interview, with a target group of 15 participants, comprising village headmen, assistant village headmen, youth, local residents, local wisdom practitioners, officials from the Subdistrict Administrative Organization and officials from the Subdistrict Health Promoting Hospital. All participants were selected using purposive sampling. The data collected from relevant literature and the interviews were analyzed using content analysis. The findings revealed that 1) the potential of community leaders in developing strong and resilient communities was reflected in their managerial capabilities, creativity, and ability to promote and support community members in developing occupational opportunities. The leaders demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility and dedication to their work, with a particular emphasis on fostering social change 2) problems concerning the potential of community leaders in developing strong and resilient communities included a lack of flexibility, delays in work implementation, a relatively passive approach, and difficulties in reaching and engaging at-risk youth and 3) guidelines for addressing problems concerning the potential of community leaders in developing strong and resilient communities included organizing meetings to listen to the opinions and needs of community members, improving engagement with both residents and youth, and promoting greater participation of local people in community development.
