Knowledge Management and Development of Media for Learning Local Food Wisdom in the Bang Kla District Chachoengsao Province

This research consists purposes were 1. to study the knowledge base of local food wisdom in Bang Khla District Chachoengsao Province 2. to study the management of knowledge base of local food wisdom in Bang Khla District Chachoengsao Province and 3. to develop a learning media package for disseminating local food wisdom in Bang Khla District Chachoengsao Province. This study employed a qualitative research design. The research instruments consisted of in-depth interview protocols, focus group discussion records and observation forms. The target group comprised 35 local wisdom scholars, who were selected through purposive sampling. The data collected through the research instruments were analyzed using content analysis. 1) Bang Khla District possesses a diverse range of local dishes reflecting a distinct area identity. This identity stems from various factors including local natural resources, the lifestyle of communities along the Bang Pakong River, inherited culinary wisdom and social and cultural contexts that shape the food styles. Savory dishes confirmed as unique to Bang Khla District primarily feature the use of ingredients from aquatic sources such as fish and shrimp, as well as local vegetables and aquatic plants. Notable dishes include Tom Yum Goong (spicy shrimp soup), grilled fish, salted fish stew and stir-fried and curried dishes using traditional seasonings, demonstrating the close relationship between the community and local resources 2) Knowledge management across all four dimensions is a systematic process, with each dimension playing a role in supporting and strengthening the community in economic, social, educational and cultural aspects. Continuous and integrated implementation is crucial for achieving these goals. This can lead to the sustainable development of Bang Khla District in the long term and 3) Developing a learning media package for local food wisdom is a process that requires systematic and integrated design in terms of content, format and learning process in order to effectively transfer knowledge, reach diverse target groups and lead to the sustainable conservation and transmission of local wisdom.
