Problem in the Operation of Self-Reliant Village Fund of Nikhom Songkhro Sub-District Muang Udon Thani District Udon Thani Provice

Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1.  to study the level of operational problems of the Self-Reliant Village Fund in Nikhom Songkhro Sub-district Mueang District Udon Thani Province and 2. to compare the operational problems of the Self-Reliant Village Fund in Nikhom Songkhro Sub-district Mueang District Udon Thani Province, classified by gender, age, educational level, duration of membership and position in the fund. The research instrument was a questionnaire and the sample group consisted of 367 members of the Self-Reliant Village Fund, Nikhom Songkhro Sub-district. The sample size was determined using Yamane’s formula (1973). The statistics used in the analysis included mean, standard deviation, t-test and F-test. The results of the research found that 1) the overall and each aspect of the problem of the self-reliant village funds in Nikhom Songkhro Sub-District were at a moderate level (x̅= 2.64, S.D. = 0.67) The mean values were ranked from highest to lowest as follows monitoring and evaluation (x̅= 2.70, S.D. = 0.62 participation (x̅= 2.69, S.D. = 0.81), management (x̅= 2.68, S.D. = 0.60) and decision-making (x̅= 2.51, S.D. = 0.64) and 2) Members of the self-reliant village funds with different genders, ages, education levels, membership durations, and positions in the fund did not differ in their opinions on the operational problems of the self-reliant village funds.
