Abstract

This research consists purposes were to study the enhancement of local financial and fiscal efficiency according to the concept of new public management in Thailand. This is a qualitative research study conducted through document research. The data were collected from various sources such as books, textbooks, academic papers, research studies, and relevant electronic media. The collected information from these documents was then analyzed using content analysis. The research findings revealed that 1) Good governance involves enhancing the efficiency of good governance of local administrative organizations, with administration that takes into account the benefits of the people 2) Creating quality services for the people, enhancing the efficiency of quality services for personnel, giving importance to people who come to request services, and developing the potential of personnel to provide efficient services 3) Using information technology, enhancing the use of information technology for personnel to have knowledge and skills to increase efficiency in financial and fiscal operations 4) Supporting personnel development, continuously developing personnel working in finance and treasury, promoting personnel to receive higher education 5) Reducing work steps, reducing tasks and dissolving unnecessary agencies, and improving work systems for efficiency and 6) Financial and budget management, enhancing the efficiency of financial and budget management, planning financial and treasury effectively, resulting in maximum benefit for the people.
