Promotion and Public Relations of the Wisdom of Weaving of the Ban Lad Burapha Weaving Group Sri Suk-Subdistrict Kantharawichai District Maha Sarakham Province

This research consists purposes were 1. to study the weaving process of the Ban Lad Burapha weaving group Si Suk Sub-district Kantharawichai District Maha Sarakham Province and 2. to propose development guidelines for handwoven silk products as textile innovations of Ban Lad Burapha Si Suk Sub-district Kantharawichai District Maha Sarakham Province. This is a qualitative research The research instrument used was an interview form. The target group consisted of 4 individuals selected through purposive sampling. The data collected from relevant documents and interviews were analyzed using content analysis. Research Findings 1) The silk weaving process in Ban Lat Burapha community is a long-standing local wisdom. It includes
1.1) Material and equipment preparation: The group must clearly organize and prepare necessary materials and tools 1.2) Silk gum removal: This step depends on the expertise of group members and is a preparatory stage before actual weaving 1.3) Reed preparation: Threading the yarn through the reed involves passing it through each dent (comb slot) and inserting a small bamboo stick into the yarn loops 1.4) Silk dyeing: The group uses two dyeing methods, both involving natural dyes 1.5) Silk blending: This method involves combining silk with nylon threads to create yarn ready for weaving into fabric 1.6) Weaving: The process involves using parts of the body to operate the loom, reflecting traditional handweaving techniques and 2) The development guidelines for Ban Lat Burapha’s handwoven silk as a textile innovation include 2.1) Creating a brand and unique identity for the handwoven fabric 2.2) Emphasizing storytelling that reflects the local wisdom and lifestyle associated with cotton weaving 2.3) Utilizing online media and social media platforms 2.4) Organizing campaigns that engage consumers or showcasing products at events 2.5) Creating consumer-centered experiences 2.6) Collaborating with fashion designers or major brands to co-create collections 2.7) Focusing on quality and sustainability and 2.8) Partnering with government and local organizations.
