Application of Artificial Intelligence for Investigating and Analyzing Legal Research

Abstract

This academic consists purposes 1. the concepts on artificial intelligence and 2. application of artificial intelligence for investigating and analyzing legal research. The methods applied in this study involve investigating related documents and researches, analyzing and presenting the results according to the objectives. The findings revealed that although application of artificial intelligence for investigating and analyzing legal research increases efficiency of study procedure and develops the research to be updated and respond to social issues efficiently, AI has limitations in interpretating the legal contexts and might cause errors in analyzing in-depth data. Moreover, though Thailand issues several laws to control artificial intelligence, the procedure of artificial intelligence to obtain in-depth data leads to the legal loopholes in governing and enforcing, as well as the difficulty in efficiently controlling risks and potential impacts of artificial intelligence. Therefore the application of artificial intelligence for investigating and analyzing legal research should develop artificial intelligence in the appropriate approach along with governing laws and ethics. Lawyers should take part in investigating and screening data to enable artificial intelligence to act as an efficient tool supporting legal development and maintain research reliability, as well as provide specific laws to control artificial intelligence.
