Abstract

This research consists purposes were to create a performance of Phleng-Song khreuang that combines with contemporary performing arts concepts. is qualitative research There are research tools, namely interviews and observational forms. The target group is 6 people from a specific selection, such as experts and performing artists with knowledge and expertise in contemporary music and performance. The information gathered from interview forms and related documents were then content analysis. The research results found that Create songs in the form of contemporary performing arts consisting of 1) A creative work of Phleng Song Khreuang in the contemporary context “Wan Thong” It is a performance that combines the ancient style with modern drama techniques 2) Create a new script by using stories from Khun Chang Khun Phaen literature as the basis for preparing the script. which has both singing and negotiating roles and 3) Bring folk songs, such as Choy, E-Saw, Lae, as well as the creation of rap melodies to sing together. Accompanied by the Piphat Mai Nuam band. The performance incorporates ideas that promote good morals. for self-dominance in today's society
