Abstract

This research aimed to assess the impacts of economic, social and environmental from municipal solid waste management of households in Phanat Nikhom Town Municipality, Chonburi Province. This is mixed methods research. The tools used for data collection were an interview form. The sample group included people living in the area, Garbage collectors, Community leaders, government agencies, selected by Purposive sampling, totaling of 40 people. Two qualitative research method as Focus groups and in-depth interview used in investigate the opinion from stakeholders, analyzing inputs, activities, output and outcomes/ impacts. This article employs the social return on investment (SROI) methodology, which is able to determine the deadweight, attribution and drop-off and financial proxy impacts. This study found that the project of municipal solid waste management of households had the net present value of 6,674,726 Baht, break-even within a period of 0.33 months and the social returns on investment of 11.35. It concluded that every 1 baht invested in this project can create 11.35 baht of social benefits.
