The Relationship Between Communication Strategy of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources and The Motivation to Preserve Mangrove Forests among Working Age

Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to examine communication strategy of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources 2. to study the motivation to preserve Mangrove Forests among working age in Bangkok and 3. to investigate the relationship between communication strategy of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources and the motivation to preserve mangrove forests among working age in Bangkok is an exploratory research. Questionnaire is a tool for gathering data.  The sample consisted of 199 working aged group of males and female, aged 25-60 years in Bangkok. Percentage mean standard deviation and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Statistics was used to analyze the data. The results of the study found that 1) Communication strategy of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources Overall, the communication strategy is at a high level (x̅= 4.15, S.D. = 0.81), emphasizing brand image building strategies and other public relations tools because when the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources publicizes the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources' mangrove conservation. Every sea and coastline is marked with its logo in a prominent place. To build confidence in the organization There was also a presentation of the missions of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources. and inviting people to join in conserving mangrove forests, which are conspicuous and unique 2) Motivation for conserving mangrove resources among working people in Bangkok Overall, the motivation for conserving mangrove forests is at a high level (x̅= 3.74, S.D. = 1.01). Security motivation is an important factor that makes working people want to conserve mangrove forests. To prevent natural disasters that will affect the well-being of the people and 3) Communication strategy of the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources is related to the motivation to preserve Mangrove Forests among working age in Bangkok statistically significant at the 0.01 level.
