Developing the Potential of Community-Based Tourism along the Waterways on a Historic base Local Identity Culture of the Community by The Northern Rajabhat University Network Phetchabun Province

Abstract

This research consists purposes were to develop the potential of a model community for community-based tourism management and network partners for sustainability of Phetchabun Rajabhat University. is a quantitative research. The research tool was a questionnaire. There was a research sample of 400 people by opening the table of Krejcie, R. V. & Morgan, D. W. (1970) and then taking the data collected from the questionnaire and analyzing it using descriptive statistics consisting of percentages. The research results found that the potential of model communities for tourism management by communities and network partners includes: 1) The target community has the capacity to manage the creative community tourism business based on local identity. The target community has 1 community, accounting for 10 percent 2) The income from community tourism. New creative tourism products and programs that respond to target tourists and generate income for the community per year, total of 5 products, 1 tourism program The community earns income from services and creative community tourism worth 100,000 baht/year. Income from tourism. Increased 5 percent in the number of jobs created and hired in the community. increased by 5 percent 3) Number of tourists in the target community The percentage increase in the number of tourists in the community compared to last year. As for media awareness and the desire to travel in communities among target tourists, it increased by 10 percent from last year. The perception of the image of the area by target tourists was not less than 10 percent and 4) Integration drives the system. Manage research and mission relations to systematically develop the area. Information system linking necessary travel information online for use in joint research and development of the network, 1 base/system, 1 mechanism system. Published tourism research leads to community use, 1 Subject/year Projects/activities that include integration of cooperation with universities and related partners that are consistent with potential and needs, not less than 5 projects per year.
