Participatory Development for Elderly People Quality of Life in Urban Community of Arunyik Muncipality Phitsanulok Province

Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to study the problem and the need for quality of life of development for the elderly and 2. to study the methods of elder's quality of life participatory development in urban areas of Phitsanulok Province. is qualitative research. The research tool was an interview form with a target group of 18 people selected through purposive sampling. Then, the data collected from the interviews and focus group arrangements were used for content analysis. The research results found that 1) Problems and needs for improving the quality of life of the elderly include physical, mental, social, and economic problems. Therefore organized an activity that promotes physical, mental, social and economic health Including preparing for the elderly to have a good life in every aspect, in collaboration with Arunyik Municipality and related agencies. Organized a monthly training project to promote and develop the life potential of the elderly to enable the elderly to have a good attitude and gain knowledge and understand how to take care of physical and mental health, promote exercise and 2) guidelines for developing the quality of life of the elderly with participation in urban areas. Phitsanulok Province has 4 areas, consisting of 2.1) Physical quality of life of the elderly. Should focus on organizing exercise activities. Publicizing news on self-health care 2.2) Psychological quality of life There should be strengthening of mental stability for the elderly, such as organizing religious activities or promoting activities for the elderly to have space to express themselves 2.3) Quality of life in terms of social relationships The elderly should be allowed to participate in various activities within the community, which will help make relationships between the elderly and other age groups have better relationships and 2.4) Quality of life in the environment. For the elderly to feel safe and secure, they must have good neighbors, access to utilities and various services, and awareness and interaction between themselves and a good living environment.
