Abstract

The purposes of the current study were 1. to The Development of Critical Reading Ability by Using SQ5R Technique with Reading Thai Literature Exercises for Grade 8 Students with an efficiency of 75/75 2. to Compare the main Critical Reading Ability by Using SQ5R Technique with Reading Thai Literature Exercises for Grade 8 Students before and after learning and 3. to study students’ satisfaction toward learning by Using SQ5R Technique with Reading Thai Literature Exercises There is a research tool which is 1) SQ5R lesson plans with Reading Thai Literature Exercises for Grade 8 Students of 6 sub learning plans 2) Critical Reading comprehension ability test 3) a satisfaction questionnaire. The sample group was 40 students in MathayomSuksa 2/4 in the second semester of the academic year 2022 at Phadungnaree School, Mahasarakham Province, obtained by cluster random sampling. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics consisting of percentage, mean, and standard deviation, and compared by t-test. The results of research were as follows: 1) SQ5R lesson plans with Reading Thai Literature Exercises for Grade 8 Students had the efficiency of E1/E2 at 75.88/78.33 reaching the criteria of 75/75 2) Students’ Critical Reading Ability was significantly higher after learning with the developed learning management at a statistical level of .05 3) The students’ satisfaction toward the developed learning management was found at a high level (x̅= 4.17, S.D. = 0.66).
