Enhancing Reading Compression Competency through SQ4R Method with Instructional Packages for Mathayomsuksa 1.

This research consists purposes were 1. determine the effectiveness of Thai language subject learning management plans on reading comprehension of Mathayomsuksa 1students using the SQ4R learning management process integrated with skills exercises according to the criteria of 80/80 2. compare the reading comprehension ability of the students before and after the implementation of the SQ4R learning management process integrated with skills exercises 3. study the satisfaction of the Mathayomsuksa 1 students towards the SQAR learning management process integrated with skills exercises is a experimental research. There is a research tool which is an percentages, mean, standard deviation, and t- test. The research findings were as follows 1) The result of the development of Thai language subject learning management plans on reading comprehension of Mathayomsuksa 1 students using the SQ4R learning management process integrated with skills exercises show that the level of effectiveness (E1/E2) was at 83.32/83.08 which was higher than the defined criteria. 2) The comparison of the reading comprehension ability of Mathayomsuksa students who were taught reading comprehension using the SQ4R learning management process integrated with skills exercises found that the mean scores were 12.88 and 24.93 respectively, when compared the pretest and post-test scores found that the reading comprehension post-test score was higher than the pretest score significantly at the level of .05 and 3) The satisfaction of Mathayomsuksa 1 students toward the SQ4R learning management process integrated with skills exercises was at a high level (x̅= 4.27, S.D. = 0.55).
