Guidelines for Using Local History to Build Museums: Ku Ka Sing Wisdom Heritage Museum Case Study.

Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to study local history of Ku Ka Sing Community and 2.to study using Local History to Build Museums Ku Ka Sing Wisdom Heritage Museum. Is a qualitative research. There were research instruments that was an interview and observation. The target in the research were five philosophers, three community leaders and three peoples who perform the duties of wisdom heritage museum from specific selection. Then brought the information information collected from the interview form and related documents to content analysis. The results show that 1) the area of Ban Ku Ka Sing community has 3 important archaeological sites: Ku Ka Sing, Ku Phon Vit and Ku Phon Rakung, which are art in Khmer culture. Ku Ka Sing is an important tourist attraction of this community. The mostly of Ban Ku Ka Sing community are farmers and have been well affected by the development of Tung Kula Rong Hai since the 1967s. This community is famous for producing quality jasmine rice. In addition, Ban Ku Ka Sing community is a community that can bring the potential of the area and the potential of the community to create cooperation, Unity and becoming a tourist attraction born out of the common sense of the local community and 2) In 2005, the museum was established as a learning base in the community, but the museum turned out to be just a storage room with no visitors. As a result, the museum has just an abandoned storage room in 2017.Professor Srisak Wanliphodom gave the idea of developing a museum using local history as a model for creating a museum. By allowing the community to participate in studying their own local history. Causing the community to be confident, energetic and began to appreciate. Want to preserve, focus on conserving traditional culture for future generations to study When the community museum is created, therefore pay attention. Because this museum has the story of their ancestors inside for children and interested people to study. As a result, the Ku Ka Sing Heritage Museum has been able to educate interested parties until now.
