Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to study the Holi Festival at Wat Vissanu Yannawa District Bangkok and 2. to create Innovation in Contemporary Dance Holi Purnima Set. is a qualitative research. There are research tools, namely interview and observation forms. The target group of the research consisted of 2 people from specific selection. The data gathered from research tools and related documents were analyzed in terms of content analysis. The results of the research were as follows: 1) Holi Festival at Wat Vissanu Yannawa District Bangkok. The Oli festival takes place during the month of March on the night of the full moon. Indians living in Thailand gathered at Wat Vissanu Yannawa District Bangkok to attend a Bonfire Ceremony (HolikKa Dahan) to bring down bad things. According to Hindu beliefs, let evil things go away from oneself. This ceremony takes place one day before Holi. Holi is a celebration of the Hindu New Year and is Signs of summer in which Hindus will play with powder paint on each other and 2) innovation in contemporary dance. Holi Purnima Set the creators brought knowledge from the study of the Holi Festival at Wat Vissanu Yannawa District Bangkok. To integrate to create innovation in contemporary dance. Holi Purnima Set by designing the melody for the performance and also to design costumes to publicize the Holi Festival of Indians the elements of the performance are (1) inspiration for the creation of the work (2) the design of the melody for the performance by arranging a variety of melodies by combining Indian and Thai music perfectly (3) Design costumes that are unique to Indians, which has factors and plays an important role in determining the direction of costume creation ideas. India and (5) designing the display based on the theme from the Holi Festival and 6) designing the equipment used in the performance.
