Factors Affecting Debt Repayment Ability of Borrower Members of Phayuha Khiri Agricultural Cooperative Limited Nakhon Sawan Province.

Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to study the personal factors of members of Phayuha Khiri Agricultural Cooperative Limited. 2. to study the importance of cooperative factors. and ability to repay loan debt 3. to study personal factors economic factor and cooperative factors affecting the ability to repay loan debt 4. to study factors affecting the ability to repay loans of members of Phayuhakhiri Agricultural Cooperative Limited and 5. to study suggestions for loan repayment of members of Phayuhakhiri Agricultural Cooperative Limited. This research is a quantitative research The research tools are questionnaires. The sample group is 305 members of Phayuha Khiri Agricultural Cooperative Limited with loan debt to the cooperative in fiscal year 2021. The sample size was calculated using the Taro Yamane (1973) formula at an error of 0.05 based on random sampling and data collected from the questionnaire were analyzed using descriptive statistics consisting of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation Chi-square test and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results of the research found out that 1) most of the cooperative members was female with the age not more than 40 years old, completed education lower than secondary school education, married, and had members in the household no more than 3 people. 2) The level of importance of cooperative factors Overall, it was at a high level (x̅ = 3.57) and the ability to repay the loan. Overall, it was at a high level (x̅= 3.82) 3) Personal factors: It was found that education level affected ability to repay loan. statistically significant at the level of 0.05 and the cooperative factor affecting the ability to repay the loan found that the cooperative factor affecting the ability to repay the loan was statistically significant at the level 0.01 4) Factors affecting members' ability to repay loan debt are economic factors. with statistical significance at the 0.01 level and the cooperative factor Statistically significant at the 0.01 level and 5) Suggestions were that the cooperative should reduce loan interest rate and increase the loan amount for members, increase marketing channels, reduce the amount of repayment per installment. The cooperative should have the measure or member assistant project when they encounter natural disaster, Corona virus-19 pandemic, and other unexpected situations. They should also organize the training on credit and debt repayment for members continuously.
