The Development of English Vocabulary Learning Activities by using CLT Method With Application for Mathayomsuksa 4 Students.

Abstract

The purposes of the research were 1. to develop the English vocabulary learning activities by using CLT method with application for MathayomSuksa 4 students, which the efficiency criteria of 80/80, 2. to compare the students’vocabulary learning achievement scores before and after learning by using CLT method with the application, and 3. to study the Simple random sampling towards the teaching management with the application. This is quantitative research. The research instruments consisted of (1) six lesson plans for learning English vocabulary by using the CLT teaching method with an application; (2) a learning English vocabulary test for students in MathayomSuksa 4 and (3) a learning satisfaction questionnaire. The sample group was 36 students in MathayomSuksa 4/9 in the second semester of the academic year 2021 at Kamalasai School, Kalasin Province, obtained by simple random sampling. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics consisting of percentage, mean, and standard deviation, and compared by t-test. The results of research were as follows: 1) The English vocabulary learning activities by using CLT method with application for MathayomSuksa 4 students was efficiency was 81.00/80.93 as the research criteria. 2) The students’ achievement test scores after learning with the learning activities with the application were statistically significantly higher at the level .01 and 3) The students’ satisfaction toward the learning activities with the application was at the highest level, (x̅= 4.63, S.D. = 0.48).
