Abstract

This research consists purposes were to create a traditional dancer, Choreography of The Decorative Dress of Mary. is a qualitative research with research tools such as an observation form and an interview form. The research target group is 10 people, consisting of a group of people who know as a group of people. with expertise and experience in Thai dance 9 people and 1 people of practitioners from Lop Bu Ri College of Dramatic Arts Bunditpatanasilpa Institute Ministry of Culture and then take the data collected from the research tools and from various documents related to content analysis. The results showed that the Choreography of The Decorative Dress of Mary was inspired by the role and dance style of Mrs Mary in the drama ‘Car Sen’. It is a dance of Ms Mary before her royal wedding ceremony. Therefore, the researcher is interested in applying the Chatree style dancing procession and the outside theatrical performances to mix the creation of a dance performance in the Choreography of The Decorative Dress of Mary. The performance was divided into three periods: first, “Prempridi Sansri”, second, “Jaraleelongsong, beautiful women like an angel”, and third, “Kraikon, to the auspicious ceremony”. The appearance of the eighth verse the melody used started with the song “Rua Saad Chatree”. The chapters used in the performance of the newly composed are eight verses with the melody started by the song "Rua Saad Chatree", then converted to Chatree song, Rai Chatree 2, including slowly transforming the songs and the walking Taloong song. Musical instruments are used as a mixed ensemble. As for the dressing, the Standard Thai dance costumes, sarong embroidered with Naga pattern and wearing a Sabai shawl lay on both sides and wearing a crown hair tie. Dance poses are used in performances according to the principles of Thai classical dance. The dance, Rong Song shows the aesthetics in various aspects, namely 1) the process of a ceremonial bath 2) the process of putting on the fragrance 3) the process of dressing. Decorative dress is the heart of the Rong Song dance to show the beauty of the costume and jewelry. In conclusion, the creation of this performance can therefore be used as a guideline for creating traditional dance performances for those who are interested.
