Abstract

This research consists purposes 1. to study the appearance and personality of Nang Kaew Na Mah in the literature on Kaew Na Mah and 2. to create the show of performance “Song Hoop Chom Ma Nee Kaew Na Mah” It is a qualitative and creative research that used interview form for research tools. Research target group total number 28 people by specific selection. Then use the information gathered from the interview form and related documents to content analysis. The results of the study found that 1) the performance of the “Song Hoop Chom Ma Nee Kaew Na Mah” inspired by the character in the literary tale of Kaew Na Mah is Nang Kaew Na Mah, she has both an ugly horse-like appearance, a disheveled personality, but is generous and compassionate to others, and she has a beautiful appearance with a neat personality. It is different from other literary heroines in the beauty and personality of the characters. The creation of the performance consists of a choreography redesigned by the creators and a total of 20 performers. The show is divided into 2 sessions, with 10 performers in each session. The first session presents Nang Kaew Na Mah in the episode where the ugly appearances dressed as the Nang Kaew Na Mah using pieces of equipment are knives and curtains. There is a make-up that over the beauty of ordinary women, and using the unique melody of Kaew Na Mah's character to the new version. Moreover, the second session presents the beautiful Nang Kaew Na Mah, dressed in a Lum Plearn new design outfit with typical theatrical make-up, no equipment, using upbeat Lum Plearn melody, and using modern melody and 2) the show Isan folk dance performance “Song Hoop Chom Ma Nee Kaew Na Mah”. It was evaluated by experts in the field of Dramatic Arts with an average score of 91 points and was promoted through an online channel, namely Facebook Fan page and YouTube channel. It has been viewed 12,445 times.
