Decision Making Towards Studying in Master of Public Administration Program in a University During COVID-19.

Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to analyze the decision to study in the Master of Public Administration program and 2. to compare the decision to study in the Master of Public Administration program classified by personal factors. It was quantitative research with research tools, namely questionnaires, with 5 levels of rating scale and an analysis of Cronbach 's alpha coefficient. The confidence value of the whole questionnaire was .943.  The sample group was students of the Master of Public Administration program in a university with 70 students from using the Krejcie and Morgan table and a simple sampling will be done by drawing a lottery. The data collected from the questionnaire were analyzed in descriptive statistics consisting of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and the hypothesis was tested by one-way analysis of variance. The results showed that: 1) overview of students who decide to study in the Master of Public Administration program of curriculum reason (x̅= 4.64), followed by pride image (x̅= 4.50), future expectations (x̅= 4.43), economic and social (x̅= 4.09), and public relations (x̅= 3.46), respectively. and 2) When comparing the decision to study in the Master of Public Administration program classified by personal factors. The results of the study found that individual factors such as sex, age, income, status and occupation were different, the decision to study in the Master of Public Administration program was not different. (t=.973, F=.391, F=.424, F=.353, F=1.076).
