Political Ideology of Former Members of the Communist Party of Thailand (CPT) in the Area of Loei Province.

Abstract

This research’s purposes were to study 1. To study the development of the establishment of the Communist Party of Thailand (CPT) in the Loei Province area and 2. To study and analyze the understanding of the political ideology of former members of the Communist Party of Thailand (CPT) in the area Loei Province is qualitative research The research instrument was an interview form, with the target group being 15 former members of the Communist Party of Thailand (CPT) in Loei Province, by using a specific method of selection. Then use the information gathered from the document, interview form to analyze the content. The results of the research revealed that 1) Development in the communist era was full of equality, no social class system, no oppression, and no more exploitation. The property ownership system was abolished. It allowed every person to own the property together as a common property that everyone can equally access. The CPT was a political party that adhered to building well-being for all of its members of society. Moreover and 2) The understanding of the political ideology of former members of the Communist Party of Thailand in the area of Loei Province found that 60 percent of the former CPT members still adhere to socialist political ideology, while 26.67 percent of them had a socialist with democratic political ideology. Lastly, 13.33 percent of the former CPT members had a democratic political ideology.
