The Development of Game Application for Enhancing the Vocabulary Knowledge for Primary Students.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were 1. to design and create game application for Enhancing the Vocabulary Knowledge for Primary Students; 2. to compare the students’ achievement gained before and after using game application; and 3. to study the satisfaction of students who use game application. This research is research and development.The samples used in this study consisted of 30 students, grade 3 from Wat Manee Praison Municipal School, Maesot district, Tak by purposive sampling. The tools used in this study were 1) a game application for enhancing the vocabulary knowledge; 2) vocabulary achievement tests; and 3) the satisfaction’s questionnaire of game application.Statistics used in data analysis were mean, standard deviation, developmental testing (E1/E2) and t-test. The results of this research were 1) the efficiency of this game application (E1/E2) is 82.96/85.00, which is higher than the assigned standard creation 80/80; 2) the learning achievement of students, after using game application higher than before using game application was significantly at 0.05 level and 3) students satisfaction after using game application was at high level.
