The objectives of this study were 1) to investigate the origins and motives behind the formation of organic coffee shop enterprises, 2) to explore how they communicate with customers in order to foster trust, 3) to examines the strategies utilized by organic coffee shops, and 4) to explore consumers’ responses to the strategies. This study employed a qualitative methodology to examine both the perspectives of the organic coffee providers and consumers. Data were collected from the providers via observation and in-depth interviews. Narrative data was gathered from customers' first-hand experiences in order to examine how they reacted to the strategies employed by organic coffee shops.</p> <p>The study revealed that the motivations for beginning an organic coffee business include a passion for coffee products and health-consciousness, a desire to support local farmers, and the ability to build on current businesses. Entrepreneurs have three main motivations for running an organic coffee shop business: expanding the organic coffee business to be more widely recognized, receiving positive feedback from customers, and envisioning the potential for business growth through profitability. Furthermore, the study indicated that organic coffee shops effectively communicate the concept of sustainable consumption by emphasizing health and food safety, environmental impact, and support for local products. The organic coffee shops used three major strategies to attract customers: displaying certified organic food standards, providing convenience for customers, and conveying information through advertising and salespeople. The consumer study revealed that consumers were highly impressed by the organic coffee shops' atmospheres, which were enhanced by a decor that featured natural elements. They also expressed their appreciation for the affordable pricing, excellent coffee flavor, and the establishment of strong ties through the transmission of information. &nbsp;Recommendations of this study include (1) organic coffee shop should provide more training about communication and service skills to all staffs and (2) government should utilize tax reduction for organic coffee shops.</p> Peamanee Chansorklin Supaporn Songpracha Wanippol Mahaarcha Kanang Kantamaturapoj Copyright (c) 2025 Peamanee Chansorklin, Supaporn Songpracha, Wanippol Mahaarcha, Kanang Kantamaturapoj https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2025-02-06 2025-02-06 24 2 2 19 พฤติกรรมการอนุรักษ์ระบบนิเวศแนวปะการังของนักท่องเที่ยวดำน้ำตื้น ในพื้นที่จังหวัดตรัง https://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/sahasart/article/view/271598 <p>The study aimed to investigate how snorkelers conserve coral reef ecosystem and identify factors. that influence their behavior were used to collect data from Thai tourists who went diving from October to November 2023. The research is divided into two phases: Phase 1, the development of behavior change promotion strategies, and Phase 2, the study of the outcomes of these strategies. The sample group consists of type 2 diabetes patients receiving treatment at three primary health promotion hospitals in the Sai Noi district of Nonthaburi province. The sample is divided into an experimental group of 37 people and &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;a control group of 37 people. The research tools include: 1) a behavior change promotion strategy, and 2) a data collection tool. Data were analyzed using statistical methods such as mean, standard deviation, Independent t-test, and Paired t-test.</p> <p>The study found that after the development of the behavior change promotion strategy, the experimental group showed significantly higher average scores in knowledge, food consumption behavior, and exercise behavior compared to before the development, and compared to the control group (P&lt;.001). The average HbA1c, body mass index (BMI), and waist circumference were significantly lower than before the development of the strategy (P&lt;.001) and were also significantly lower than in the control group (P&lt;.001, P&lt;.05, and P&lt;.05, respectively). Therefore, the intensive behavior change promotion strategy for type 2 diabetes patients can be used as a guideline for behavior change to achieve diabetes remission by reducing HbA1c, BMI, and waist circumference, which leads to reduced medication use or even stopping diabetes medication.</p> Santi Phothong Dr.Prasert Leksansern Copyright (c) 2025 ประเสริฐ เล็กสรรเสริญ, สันติ โพธิ์ทอง https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2025-02-06 2025-02-06 24 2 32 45 Right in Marriage of Gender Diverse Peoples : Study of Marriage Problems On The Civil and Commercial Code Section 1448 And The Protection by Constitutional Court https://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/sahasart/article/view/269810 <p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </strong>This research addresses the rights of gender-diverse individuals concerning marriage in Thailand. Specifically, it examines the inadequacies in legal guarantees and protections, forms of recognition, and the responsibilities of agencies involved in enacting or amending laws to safeguard these rights.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The study critically analyzes the existing legal framework, particularly the Civil and Commercial Code, Section 1448, which mandates that marriage is permissible only when both a man and a woman have reached seventeen years of age. This longstanding law is found to be inconsistent with the Constitution, which serves as the supreme law designed to uphold equality and is non-compliant with international treaties that recognize and protect marriage as a human right. Furthermore, it does not address societal changes over time, leading to inequality and indirectly affecting the rights of gender-diverse individuals to marry. This results in a significant gap in the enforcement of laws concerning the rights of gender-diverse people to marry.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The Constitutional Court of Thailand, tasked with protecting the rights and liberties of citizens, has shown concern and placed emphasis on the challenges faced by gender-diverse individuals. Consequently, it is recommended that the National Assembly, the Council of Ministers, and relevant state agencies consider enacting or amending laws to ensure the rights and responsibilities of people with gender diversity in a manner consistent with constitutional and statutory law. This will enable the legal system to provide appropriate guarantees and protections for the marriage rights of gender-diverse individuals, in line with the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand B.E. 2560 and consistent with the recommendations of the Constitutional Court.</p> Chakkrit Auttamo Copyright (c) 2025 Chakkrit Auttamo https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2025-03-10 2025-03-10 24 2 46 64 The Significance of Food Consumption Behaviors in Health Protection during High PM2.5 Levels in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region https://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/sahasart/article/view/270522 <p>This descriptive research aims to study the effects of prevention and food consumption behaviors on health disorders related to particulate matter (PM2.5) in 370 individuals in the Bangkok Metropolitan Region. The data was collected using Google Forms through a well-designed questionnaire created by our team of researchers. The questionnaires were randomly distributed via the Lines application. The data was analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, maximum, minimum, and chi-square statistics. The results showed that all 370 individuals experienced health effects from air pollution. However, after observing the intensity of the PM2.5-related symptoms, we were able to divide the participants into three groups based on the severity of their symptoms: those with better symptoms, those with non-changing symptoms, and those with poor symptoms. We found that the three groups did not differ in their prevention behavior, but they did differ in their food consumption behavior. Most people in the group with better symptoms consumed 6-8 glasses of fresh water per day, vegetables, fruits, beans and vitamins at a frequency of 2-3 days per week. Additionally, the number of people in the group with better symptoms who consumed fish oil (a high Omega3 food) and Vitamin E was significantly higher (P&lt;0.05) than the number of people in the group with poor symptoms. This study suggests that consuming antioxidant-rich foods has an impact on the self-prevention of Thai people from PM2.5 pollution.</p> Puttachart Chuaynarong Copyright (c) 2025 Puttachart Chuaynarong https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2025-02-06 2025-02-06 24 2 65 82 Travel motivation and tourism experiences that affect Thai tourists' satisfaction in traveling to Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province https://so02.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/sahasart/article/view/269466 <p>The purposes of this research are to 1) study Thai tourists traveling to Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. 2) Study the experiences of Thai tourists on tourism in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. 3) Study the satisfaction of Thai tourists on tourism in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province and 4) study tourism experiences that affect satisfaction in traveling to Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. The impact is far-reaching and in many cases dramatic. Such is the case in education, where many programs were forced to shift to an online mode of teaching and learning on short notice. Of necessity, teachers and students worked to overcome this rupture in their established routines and to establish new approaches to effective education suitable for the situation. This paper documents the experience of one intensive English program at a university in Thailand during the COVID-19 pandemic and frames the experience in terms of emergency remote teaching (ERT). The paper then shares several practical lessons learned during the program’s time in ERT. These lessons relate to the following: chunking, continuous assessment, rethinking assessment security, and building an online learning community. The lessons described in this paper will be of interest not only to English language teaching (ERT) professionals but also to other educators who wish to develop their teaching practice.</p> Joseph Serrani Alexander Chabot Nanni Copyright (c) 2025 Joseph Serrani https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2025-03-10 2025-03-10 24 2 139 152
