Learning Person Characteristics Of Students In Schools Under The Office Of Secondary Education Service Area 20 Udonthani : Mixed Method Research

Abstract

The purpose of this research were: 1) to study the learning person characteristics of
students in school under the office of secondary education service area 20 Udonthani 2) to
compare the learning person characteristics between students of Mathayom 3 and Mathayom 6
in schools under the office of secondary education service area 20 Udonthani 3) to compare the
learning person characteristics between students inside and outside Muang district in schools
under the office of secondary education service area 20 Udonthani 4) to examine of the
interaction between the classes and school location about learning person characteristics of
students in school under the office of secondary education service area 20 Udonthani. The
research uses a combination of mixed methods research carrying out in 2 steps. First step
was development a framework indicator characteristics learning person of students using
techniques Focus Group. The second step was study the learning person characteristics of
students; The sample for this research are students studying in secondary education in 2557.
In step 1, the samples were 8 students is Mathayom 3 and 8 students in Mathayom 6,
from by purposive sampling technique. Step 2 samples consisted of 400 students in Mathayom 3,
classified into 2 groups: 200 students inside Muang district and 200 students from outside
Muang district and 400 students in Mathayom 6, classified into 2 groups: 200 students inside
Muang district and 200 students from outside Muang district. The samples totaling of 800
students from Multi-Stage Random Sampling technique. The instrument of research that
used in the study were focus group record form and questionnaire about characteristics of
learning person. Data analysis is divided into two parts: part 1 analysis of qualitative data
from focus groups with Inductive analysis, content analysis and Content Synthesis and part 2
quantitative analysis of the questionnaire about characteristics of learning person using twoway
analysis of variance (Two-way ANOVA).
The results were as following :
1. The students in school under the office of secondary education service area
20 Udonthani have the learning person characteristics at a medium level.
2. The students of secondary education in Mathayom 3 and Mathayom 6 in
school under the office of secondary education service area 20 Udonthani have the learning
person characteristics are difference at the .05 level of significance.
3. The students in schools inside and outside Muang district under the office of
secondary education service area 20 Udonthani have the learning person characteristics are
not difference.
4. The classes and school location have interact to learning person characteristics
of students in school under the office of secondary education service area 20 Udonthani at
the .05 level of significance.
In conclusion, the results of the learning person characteristics of students in school
under the office of secondary education service area 20 Udonthani. Stakeholders can be used
as information for the developing of the students to achieve the goal of quality as well.
