Abstract
Constructing Diagnostic Thai Reading Comprehension Test for
Prathomsuksa 6 Students Under the Office of
Kalasin Primary Educational Service Area 1 2. The second test, the d iagnostic test designed into two parts, 65
items, it was found that there were useful 50 items which the item difficulty
powers ranged from .29 - .80 and the items discrimination powers ranged from
.24 - .90, then 50 eligible items would be tested in the third test.
3. The third test, 50 items gained from the second test which the
items difficulty powers ranged from .20 - .80, the items discrimination powers
ranged from .21 - 1.00, and the test reliability was .85.
4. Analysing the weakness point of the students who got the item
wrong in doing learning diagnostic test found that the weakness points of the
students were that they did not know the meaning of the words, not
understood implication meanings of the words, could not translate the idioms,
could not capture the main idea, could not give the comments toward the
story that they had read, and misanalyzed
